The Egyptian pharaohs were buried with all kinds of stuff they might need to keep them going on their journey over to the other side. This is some of Tut's stuff. When the tomb was opened in 1922 many of the items in this room were broken and messed up. The speculation is that grave robbers got in at some point but, luckily for us, were scared away before they could score any of the really good loot.
