The last day of August was warm and sunny; a fine day for a walk to see the famous silver springs after which the calgary neighborhood was named. After a refreshing java and a chinwag at an outside table at Cafe Le Matin we headed off down the "infrastructure trail" the federal Liberals paid for following a by-gone election and ended up at the river's edge where the springwater cascades down the steep side of the gully. Special guest Dan Krysak carried The Mayor's tripod (without which this photo would not have been possible) and Big Walt, in a rare outburst, declared that the $50,000 the "infrastructure trail" cost had been money well spent.
